“My life is basic; I have a little brother who gets in trouble a lot. My parents are divorced so mom deals with my brother on her own. I’m just trying to survive high school and deal with the stress of scholarships and college.” One of her many friends sit down, and Trinity is excited. They talk like they haven’t seen each other in a while.

“I’m trying to be more social and break out of my shell and started being in clubs. I was in the play and I’m in comp play. It’s always nerve racking meeting new people; I’m afraid that they won’t be willing to have me in their lives. ”

“My best friend is Shane. I can always be myself around him and never have to worry about being judged.” Shane yells across the room for her attention. “On the days I’m not at practice I’m at home writing poetry or helping Christina with her horses.”

It’s time to leave for her next class. Trinity gets her bag ready and talks about a test and how it wasn’t hard for her to her friend. “I’m just your average teenager.”
