Professed pineapple-on-pizza-lover Fiona Smith’27 makes Devin Whitmore ’25 eat his words
Hawaiian pizza has always seemed to be a big debate amongst friends. You either love it or despise it.
Reasons why you love it:
“I suppose pineapple belongs on pizza,” Mr. Bartlett said.
The sweetness of the pineapple compliments the tomato sauce
Good source of vitamin C
Cooked pineapple is just overall delicious
The saltiness of the ham balances out the sweetness of the pineapple
Your taste buds are better than everyone else’s
Reasons to hate it:
“Ew get away from me, pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza,” Adrian Dow ’27 said
Your friends tell you to get away from them
Gordan Ramsay doesn’t approve of it
You don’t know who to trust with the information of your liking for pineapple pizza
The texture is strange
People will try and change your mind on why you shouldn’t like it
It was made in Canada
In my opinion, Hawaiian pizza is one of the best pizzas to be created. I like it because it combines the sweetness of the pineapple and the saltiness of the ham so well the flavor just explodes in my mouth, but I understand that some people don’t like it because to them the texture and flavor could come out weird. So what is your opinion on Hawaiian pizza?
