The Caribou Vikings go up against the Presque Isle Wildcats on Wednesday, January 4.

On Wednesday, January 4, our boys basketball teams went up against our biggest rivals, the Caribou Vikings. This game is coming off a previous win against our other County rival, Houlton, when Malachi Cummings ’23 scored his one thousandth point.

Presque Isle traveled to Caribou and both JV and varsity lost in the final minutes. Cummings had 42 points in the varsity game, but the team couldn’t pull out the win. “We didn’t shoot very well from the free throw line and those are points we need to win a big game,” Cummings added after the loss Wednesday. “We just have to come back Saturday and get a dub so we can be back in the win column.”

Caribou won 70-51 in the varsity game and Caribou JV won 64-49.

Presque Isle’s next game is this Saturday, January 7 against the Washington Academy Raiders.
