Future of President Trump

Question: What is impeachment?
Answer: The process of impeachment is really quite easy one. It starts off at the House of Representatives creating articles or reasons they think the president deserves impeachment. Then, the House of Representatives votes on whether or not to pass the articles. If they vote yes, the president is impeached. Then it goes to the Senate, if the Senate accepts the articles, the president is removed from office and can even be prosecuted legally.
After talking to social studies department chair Zack Powers, a lot of students are asking questions about the impeachment and how it will affect President Biden’s first 100 days. The simple answer is that no one really knows. Powers said, “The best way to learn about the process of impeachment is to watch the senate trials and how Republican senators vote because this will have a significant impact on the future of the Republican party.
Question: Now that he’s been impeached again, what happens if former President Trump is found guilty by the Senate?
Answer: If the President is removed from office he cannot run again. This can only happen if the Senate votes to impeach, which it did not do in 2020, though the House did.
Quote: What will happen in the next few days after former President Trump left office?
Answer: Even if he stays in office, the likelihood of President Trump not facing criminal prosecution is getting smaller and smaller. Every day people become more enraged so it would be no surprise if a long list of charges materializes the day his presidential immunity is lifted. If the impossible happens and President Trump is not prosecuted for one thing or another, many of his supporters are calling for another term in 2024.
