All five Presque Isle seniors combined for 36 points on senior night Saturday en route to a 59-29 victory over the Caribou Vikings. This win was the 12th straight for the Wildcats, as they finish the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record headed into the Aroostook League Playoffs next week.

They came out of the locker room hot from the start, going three for three from beyond the arc to kick off the first quarter and sink the Vikings into an early 9-0 deficit before extending their lead to 12 at the end of the frame.

Caribou would mount their biggest offensive of the afternoon in the second, scoring 12 points on baskets from three players, but they would be unable to cut into the Wildcat lead even slightly, as their opponents matched them in point total on the quarter.

The second half would see Presque Isle bury their opponents even further, as they extended their lead to 30 points as the clock ticked down to register the blowout victory.

Senior Meg Casavant led her team with 10 points in the game, while classmates Jenna Sargent, Julianna Morningstar and Rhylee Kinney had 9, 8 and 7 respectively.

As the first seed in the tournament, the Wildcats have earned a quarterfinal bye and will play their first playoff contest on March 5 against the winner of the Fort Fairfield – Hodgdon game that will take place two days prior.
