Cassidy McGrath ‘19 was trampled by six strangers during an attempt at team building and unifying the tech center family at the annual Fun Day.

The fun day consisted of splitting the classes up in order to meet new people by putting all the students into teams to compete against each other. This left Cassidy on a team with six “stringy boys” she didn’t know and an opposing team of seven “BIG AND BEEFY” boys to beat at a round of tug-of-war.

The activity leader counted them down -3-2-1 and GO! And within ten seconds Cassidy’s whole team had been dragged across the line. Hurting more than just their pride, they managed to stumble and fall on onto Cassidy. On the way down one kid kneed her in the ribs; she couldn’t laugh for two days, and she has been sore ever since.

This traumatic experience definitely unified her team, leaving her with a sore body but new friends.
