“I was so freaked,” junior Natasha Lizotte said. Lizotte was trying  out for Destination Imagination (DI), and the club has been growing a lot in the past few years. For the first time in many years, enough were interested that cuts were made from the club. She did get in though. This year will be Lizotte’s fourth year in Destination Imagination.

The club has a prompt involving a challenge of some sort that members have to solve. Lizotte said that it’s hard to explain what the club is about; you either have to be in it, or talk to the coach.

Lizotte wanted to join a team, but she didn’t want to do a whole lot of physical activity. She wanted to use her brain. She is in a few other clubs, such as Youth in Government and the musical’s set crew.

Youth in Government is the other brainy thing she does. “It’s nowhere near close to DI, the closest thing I do to DI is set crew,” Lizotte said. What makes set crew and Destination Imagination similar is that they both deal with making sets.

Lizotte is busy all year round, from DI practices and competitions, Youth in Government and set crew but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
