On Tuesday June 14 during period 6 English teacher Gail Ruscetta’s public speaking class held an end of the year showcase in the auditorium. There were nine students who went on stage and presented on a range of topics,  from how Disney is corrupting our lives to a recitation of Edgar Allen Poe’s last poem about his dead lover.

“I thought the performances were really good because they showcased each person,” said Fiona Wu ‘25. “There were also super funny ones that just made everyone laugh.”

Students in the class spoke highly of the experience, despite it being an intimidating subject. “Gaining confidence in front of an audience benefitted me,” Emerson Brown ’25 said.
