On Saturday, August 27 the Wildcat varsity soccer teams participated at Hampden Academy’s annual Play Day. Fifteen teams competed over classes A, B and C. This was a friendly competition of games as, “I feel like it was a good warm up for the season. Eli Mosher ’26 said. I don’t think that we felt like we needed to win all of the games, but that was definitely the goal.”

The boys team competed against Bucksport, Hampden and Orono and won all three games by the score of 3-0, 3-2 and 2-0, respectively. The girls team competed against Foxcroft Academy, Penquis and M.D.I. and scored a tie and two victories with scores of 1-1, 3-0 3-0, respectively.

With revenge on the boys team’s minds from an early semi-final exit last season (via John Babst), the soccer teams kick off the season Saturday, September 3 with an away contest with the Crusaders.
