The boys and girls varsity soccer teams are closing in on the end of their season.

Over harvest the teams competed in numerous games. The break consisted of highs and lows for both teams. Whether the teams were affected by their long work schedules, they chose not to let it affect them. “I feel like most of the kids had very long days and were very tired by the time they came to practice,” Jenson Sargent ’24. “It didn’t stop us from focusing but definitely had an impact on our energy.”

The boys team went 3-4-1 and the girls went 4-3-1 over a three week period from 9-16 to 10-12. When the student athletes returned to school they played Caribou for their senior night competitions.

The girls team shutout Caribou 4-0 and are now seeded second as of October 14 in Class B North. The boys team picked up the 2-1 win over Caribou in double overtime, and are now  seeded fifth in Class B North.

The teams’ last games come at home on Saturday September 15 against Hermon.
