The Last Good ( ) I ( )
Hadley McLean ’21

The last good trip Hadley McLean ’21 went on was the Bahamas, when she was twelve years old. She went through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, because of her cancer diagnosis. They swam with the dolphins and also made pottery. The weather was hot, and the only thing McLean didn’t like was the humidity.
“I tried this new food. I don’t really remember what it was called, but I liked it,” McLean said. The hotel McLean and her family stayed in was nice. She saw a shark pool. She could not touch or feed the mini-sharks, but she did sit on a bench and watch them swim. She saw a couple of beaches, and the water was warm and crystal clear.
She is fourteen now, and the trip still sticks with her today. Another memorable trip was the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip with Mr. Guerrette. “It was a lot of fun even though it tired me out,” McLean said.
They went to monuments such as Independence Hall and the Washington House. She also said that the food was good. The trip went on through Easter. They didn’t do anything special for Easter on the trip.
The group went to The National Zoo. “We saw all of the animals there,” McLean said. Her favorite exhibit was the panda; they are her favorite animal, after all.
These two trips have been memorable for McLean. Seeing her favorite animal and swimming with the dolphins, these are experiences many people do not get.
