Varsity boys advance to prelims

Wildcats face off against the Fort Kent warriors

On Tuesday, October 17, the Fort Kent Warriors traveled down to face the PI Wildcats. The varsity boys team was placed in 11th and they needed this win to go into prelims. “When the first goal was scored I told myself we need to keep our heads up,” Carter Vigue ’26 said. “This win felt great, especially for our seniors.” The PI boys won 3-1. The varsity boys advance on to the prelim game on Saturday, October 21.

The Lady Wildcats gear up for the trip to Rockland. “It feels good going against the same team as last year, knowing we’re even better than we were last year and that it would be a close game,” Astra Laughton ’26 said. “I will miss our seniors and even this year, in general, because it means I’m one year closer to leaving the team.”

Last set of the year
Soaking in all the memories. Lexi Morningstar ’24 talks about what it's like to be the only senior on the volleyball team. “I don’t really notice it much. I get along very well with the rest of the team and tend to forget I’m the only senior until something reminds me of our seniors last year and I realize that I’m the only senior for this year,” she said. This year’s season will last about two weeks.
Spiking into a new season
So many emotions. The Wildcat cheerleaders celebrate as they realize they made it to States. “I’m super excited to perform at States with the best teammates,” Abi Reed ’27 said. The competition will be held at the Augusta Civic Center on February 10.
A victory well deserved
Presque Isle cheer team hits the pyramid with a one man liberty on Saturday, Jan 20% during the Big East cheer competition. “Hitting the pyramid with a one man liberty felt amazing, because we had only learned it a couple nights before we performed it. So I was happy we hit it,” Courtney Dockham ’26 said.
