So many emotions. The Wildcat cheerleaders celebrate as they realize they made it to States. “I’m super excited to perform at States with the best teammates,” Abi Reed ’27 said. The competition will be held at the Augusta Civic Center on February 10.

On Saturday, Feb. 3, the varsity cheer team traveled to Augusta for the Class B Regional cheering competition. This was the competition that determined whether or not teams would advance to the state competition. So, with a lot of determination, the Wildcats performed at 7 pm at Cony High School. They made it to 5th place with 67 points which qualified them for the state competition. At the team’s first competition in Caribou, they scored a 57.4 “I am very impressed with how well we have worked together to get to this point,” Abi Reed ’27 said. “I’m so proud of how far we have come from our first score to now.”

The state competition will be in Augusta on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Wildcat cheerleaders will also perform their routine at the pep rally this Friday, Feb. 9.
