Studying hard. Peyton McKinley ’26 fits in some studying before her class begins. “I’m not really nervous for midterms, they’re just a homework grade,” she said.

With midterms swinging at PIHS, students are trying to bump grades up and are stressing about the tests.

Some students wonder why only some teachers have the 90 and above rule. “It’s a reward. If you have a 90 or above, there’s no reason to test you,” social studies teacher Mr. Warren said. “Midterms aren’t that bad, it’s only like 20 questions in 90 minutes,” Peyton McKinely ’26 said. Neve O’Donnell ’27 has a different opinion on this. “I’m nervous for the midterms, I don’t want to do them,” she said.

Midterms are held from Jan. 23 through the 25.
