On June 3, the PI Lady Wildcats departed at 8:30 a.m. to play the Oceanside Mariners. The game started off strong for the Wildcats with Olivia Locke scoring the first run for the Wildcats in the top of the second inning.
“It was exciting. I really wanted to beat them for revenge as well as the previous softball year,” Olivia Locke ’25 said. “Next year I want our team to have more urgency, knowing that any game could be our last and work as a well oiled machine celebrating the wins, but also having grit and fight and not accepting a loss.”
The girls started off strong with a two point lead but then the Mariners took over. The final score was 7-4.
