Which dress up day is the best?

Anything blue. The sophomore class cheers their classmates on during Battle of the Bands while wearing class t-shirts for the dress up day. “I didn’t like Adam Sandler or this dress up day as much, because you can’t get as creative,” Kayleigh Swanson ’26 said.

We know that our school has a lot of dress up days, but are they always worth it? They count as a level 3 event, but some dress up days can be more popular than others. We have seen varying numbers in participation for these dress up days.

The less popular days were decades day with 27% of students participating, tacky tourist day with 23%, Adam Sandler day with 32%, and ugly sweater day with 43%.

The ones students seem to like more are pajama day with 84% of students participating, flannel day with 78%, Wildcat apparel day with 75%, Halloween costume day with 71%, and BBQ dad vs. soccer mom day with 52%.

So why are some days more popular among students than others? “I like decades day and also enjoyed the character day we had because you can get so creative during those days.” Kayleigh Swanson ’26 said.

Why is it so dark? The moon completely covered the sun in the totality of the solar eclipse. The totality occurred at 3:32 p.m. “The pink flare we saw during the eclipse is 3 times the diameter of our Earth,” Mrs. Gamblin said. The next eclipse in North America will be in 2044.

Last set of the year
There’s still light? The sky was still light at around 5:15 last night in Presque Isle due to daylight savings. “Im excited because I have more time to work on my fourwheeler,” Aaron Chase ’26 said. Daylight savings will continue for 34 weeks.
Let there be light
Soaking in all the memories. Lexi Morningstar ’24 talks about what its like to be the only senior on the volleyball team. “I don’t really notice it much. I get along very well with the rest of the team and tend to forget I’m the only senior until something reminds me of our seniors last year and I realize that I’m the only senior for this year,” she said. This year’s season will last about two weeks.
