The Wildcats and the Foxcroft ponies soccer match

On Wednesday, August 30, the Presque Isle boys traveled to Foxcroft Academy to play against the Ponies. The indoor field was supposed to be a hit, but the facility wasn’t like it seemed. “The field was so terrible, I tripped like 10 times,” goalie Connor Bell ‘25 said. The varsity boys won their game 9-6. The junior varsity played after the varsity boys and they also won their game with a score of 2-0. “I couldn’t even punt the ball without it hitting the ceiling so I just had to throw it,” Bell said.

The wildcat boys played  Fort Kent on Tuesday, September 5, and had one win of 3-0 from the JV squad, and 10-2 varsity lost.

Just rolling by. Anything blue. The sophomore class cheers their classmates on during Battle of the Bands while wearing class t-shirts for the dress up day. “I didn’t like Adam Sandler or this dress up day as much, because you can’t get as creative,” Kayleigh Swanson ’26 said.

Line them up. A good comparison of the sneakers and their features side by side. “Wait, they have glitter ones? I want a glitter pair, Emma Bard 26 said while talking about Converse High Tops.

Last set of the year
Soaking in all the memories. Lexi Morningstar ’24 talks about what its like to be the only senior on the volleyball team. “I don’t really notice it much. I get along very well with the rest of the team and tend to forget I’m the only senior until something reminds me of our seniors last year and I realize that I’m the only senior for this year,” she said. This year’s season will last about two weeks.
Spiking into a new season
So many emotions. The Wildcat cheerleaders celebrate as they realize they made it to States. “I’m super excited to perform at States with the best teammates,” Abi Reed ’27 said. The competition will be held at the Augusta Civic Center on February 10.
A victory well deserved
Presque Isle cheer team hits the pyramid with a one man liberty on Saturday, Jan 20% during the Big East cheer competition. “Hitting the pyramid with a one man liberty felt amazing, because we had only learned it a couple nights before we performed it. So I was happy we hit it,” Courtney Dockham ’26 said.

Gan Curtis 26 defends against against a Houlton Shires player. Our one goal was to start out the game with lots of intensity and energy, Curtis said.

Fighting Inside. Brent Greenlaw ’25 takes it to the rack and gets fouled. The Wildcats lost with a score of 58-25. “What drives me is going to war with my teammates and fighting side by side,” Greenlaw said.
