The lunch lines have been rearranged

During second lunch on January 5, freshmen and sophomores try to keep track of which line is which, since the hot lunch line and sub line swapped on Jan. 2. “I’m not sure that anyone knows where they’re going yet,” Sam Edgecomb ’25 said.

On Tuesday, Jan. 2, students walked into a cafeteria of change. Some of the student body was aware of the change, but not everyone was on the same page. The lunch lines had been swapped and some people just weren’t sure where to go. “I think it’ll take a week or so before people really know what’s going on,” Sam Edgecomb ’25 said. It will definitely be a confusing week, but just remember that sub sandwiches are on the left and hot lunches are on the right.

There’s still light? The sky was still light at around 5:15 last night in Presque Isle due to daylight savings. “Im excited because I have more time to work on my fourwheeler,” Aaron Chase ’26 said. Daylight savings will continue for 34 weeks.

Admire the trophies. PIHS Jazz band traveled to Houlton on Feb. 12 and earned a silver award at the District Jazz Festival. “I loved playing that song because I just love the Beatles” Kenzie McLaughlin ‘26 said.

Dancing the night away. Peyton McKinley 26 dances with her friend at the Winter Ball. “I prefer longer dresses, because I feel more comfortable dancing in them,” she said. The Winter Ball was held on March 15 from 7-10 pm.
What am I going to wear?
Soaking in all the memories. Lexi Morningstar ’24 talks about what its like to be the only senior on the volleyball team. “I don’t really notice it much. I get along very well with the rest of the team and tend to forget I’m the only senior until something reminds me of our seniors last year and I realize that I’m the only senior for this year,” she said. This year’s season will last about two weeks.
