Look at that sign. “My second year students built that sign this year actually,” Mr. Bragan said. This is just one of the many amazing opportunities that our CTE wing can offer you.

Although some of our students go to Caribou for tech classes, we do have our own CTE wing. Our school offers a variety of tech programs. These programs include business, agricultural science, natural resource conservation, aquaculture, animal sciences, plant sciences, building trades, industrial and farm mechanics, engineering technology, early child development, cosmetology and electrical technology.

So why are any of these classes a good option? For example, building trades offers a lot of wonderful opportunities for students. You can go work on a real job site and make money during school hours if you work hard enough. Additionally, when you finish the class, you will be 10 hours OSHA certified and ladder certified.

So what do they do in this class? “Well the students learn different techniques all year such as framing floors and walls. By the end of the class, they slowly put the building together,” teacher Mr. Bragan said.
