Walking through the halls, we see lots of different shoe options. There are 2 sneakers that seem to be the most popular, Nike Blazers and Converse High Tops. So which one is better?

Let’s review the pros of these sneakers. For Nikes, we have many pros. They can be used as work out shoes, dress shoes, and even regular everyday shoes. They come in 11 colors and you can even customize the Nike Blazer “Mid By You” shoes. This feature ensures that you will have the exact shoes you want.

As far as converse high tops, one pro is that you can have multiple colors and designs. There are 110 colors including glitter options. The designs include a bow on the back, stars, and even flower designs. This can add a nice pop of color to your outfit and make it easier to color coordinate. Another pro for these shoes is that they do not crease like Nike Blazers. “They’re comfortable and I like the style, they go with everything.” Emma Bard ‘26 said.

Now let’s talk about the cons of Nike Blazers. One con is that they can get creased if you do not purchase the crease guards to put in them. “They take a really long time to get on,” Georganna Curtis ’26 said.

There are also cons for Converse. The laces can sometimes break, so these shoes can’t be used on outdoor adventures. The laces can also get dirty easily since they are white. 

One con for both sneakers is how hard they can be to put on. This could be an issue if you are in a rush to get somewhere.

The prices of these shoes vary. For Converse the lowest could be 50 dollars and the highest is 130 dollars. For the Nike Blazers the lowest is $54 and the highest would be $125. So they are around the same price.
