On Tuesday, May 21, the Presque Isle Wildcats softball team took on their rival, the Caribou Vikings. The softball game started out strong with freshman Peyton Boinskehitting a single to get the dugout pumped up. The Lady Wildcats kept the heat going with run after run. The Caribou Vikings put up a fight, but the wildcats were stronger. The Wildcats won their game by 15, mercy ruling Caribou.
“The game was definitely a success for us,” Olivia Lock ’25 said. “We took care of business by getting that game out of the way allowing us to begin focusing on our next challenge, Hermon. Any other week I would have loved to play more innings, however, with a big game coming up, I think it will benefit us allowing us to keep our arms and less risk of any injury going into this weekend. Mercy ruling any team is always exciting, especially our rivals.”
