Feel the pressure! Sabine Wells-Puckett ’27 attempts to make a goal while the Bapst goalie stands in her way. The Presque Isle JV girls team won 2-0. “It was a decently easy win, but we should’ve scored more with the way they were playing,.” Maddy Brazier ’26 said.

On Saturday September 9, both the varsity and JV girls soccer teams faced the John Bapst Crusaders at noon The JV team played on the grass field. The Presque Isle JV team took home a win with a 2-0 victory, but the varsity team was not as fortunate. They lost 2-1.  Both the boys teams ended the day with losses: the JV 4-0 and the varsity 6-2.

“We worked pretty hard, but it’s not the hardest we’ve worked,” JV player Maddy Braizer ’26 said of her team’s success.

How does the varsity girls team feel about their loss? “I think we could’ve won it, but it wasn’t about working harder. We just needed to talk more,”  Astra Laughton ’26 said.
